My story

I grew up right here in Warrnambool, attending Warrnambool Primary and College. My mum, a country girl and teacher, passed away when I was just four. My dad, who worked at Fletcher Jones until the factory moved offshore, raised my younger sister and me to be honest, kind, and hardworking.

After school, my ability to connect with people led me to a career as a national broadcaster on Triple J, where I interviewed everyone from rock stars to Prime Ministers. I later became a small business owner and children's book author, but I never lost my connection to southwest Victoria.

Why I'm running as an Independent

I'm running as an Independent because I've seen how decades of being a "safe seat" haven't served our community. Having never even seen a Prime Minister serve their full term from the time I could vote until well into my 30s, I began questioning whether our political system was truly working for ordinary people.

In 2019, I ran my first campaign for Wannon, gathering 10% of the vote. When I ran again in 2022 with a movement of hundreds of volunteers behind me, we doubled that to nearly 20%. Now, with your support, I'm ready to bring it home.

Standing up for Wannon

I believe most of us want the same things: integrity, opportunity, affordable homes, and a healthy environment for our kids. We want quality services when we need them and leaders who put solutions before point-scoring.

As your Independent, I'll be accountable to you – not party bosses in Canberra. I'll listen to your concerns, speak freely, and work constructively with all sides to get things done. I'll stand up for integrity and fight for real solutions on issues that matter to Wannon: roads, healthcare, cost of living, housing, and aged care.

Together, we're standing up for Wannon. Let's get a better deal for our community.
